Blue Ridge Iron, LLC is a small company with a Global reach. While not especially unusual within the Heavy Equipment industry, we strive to differentiate ourselves by developing close relationships with companies and individuals working directly in other countries, thus minimizing and mitigating risk while simultaneously broadening the reach within the subject country.
South Africa
Our most developed Global market, currently, is South Africa. With Stephan on the ground and Danie acting as our State-side consultant (see About Us for more on both), we are discovering a wealth of equipment resources for export to the rest of the World. Peru
With a large mining industry and growing economy, Peru has consistently been one of our top customers for the export of equipment out of North America. The demand for high quality equipment is consistent and varied, from cranes to wheel loaders. We look forward to continuing to develop our close partnerships here. Iraq
While up and down over the last decade because of well-known military conflicts, Northern Iraq and the Kurds are quickly recovering, and their need for heavy equipment is quickly coming back to pre-ISIS levels. We are excited about the new opportunities that are quickly becoming reality among these hard-working folks.
Indonesia
We have recently begun developing some key partnerships in this region and are discovering that there is a high demand for quality used equipment and parts. While logistics are sometimes an especially difficult challenge for this massive network of islands, we are finding that clear and frequent communication helps tremendously in smoothing this process and keeping the costs from becoming excessive.
