Born and raised in the South, I have travelled extensively throughout North America and other parts of the World developing long term business relationships and personal friendships, which I pride myself on overlapping as much as possible. My wife of 21 years, my three children, and myself live between Georgia, where we have a house, and North Carolina, where we keep the boat and the kids go to Summer camp. For 12 years I owned and operated a construction company specializing in residential site work and underground utilities. In 2012, I capped off a fascination with higher education with an MBA from Auburn University, having attended colleges in Alaska, California, Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, Hong Kong and Spain. A devout Catholic, a justified sinner, a hopeless husband, a doting father, an amateur powerlifter, an absolute novice of a hunter and hiker, and a hardcore capitalist, I spend all my waking hours between phone calls, visiting with friends and clients, lifting heavy weight, coaching a High School Powerlifting team, church, backpacking, hunting, remodeling the house or the boat, conversing with my wife and children, and trying to get in a good book every once in a while.
I was born in North Dakota but came to Maryland, almost immediately, to thaw out. I have called Maryland home ever since. Despite having a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, I decided to go into the business world to satisfy my love of international trade. As a fluent Spanish speaker who is passionate about learning the cultures of the world, I have found a niche in exporting older model machines. I'm married to Wonder Woman, others call her Lyndsy, and we have four children together. In whatever free time I can make for myself, I can be found either training or teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. My training has taught me to be comfortable and able to think clearly in the most uncomfortable of situations. My favorite quote from the martial arts world is "Better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war." I love freedom and free-market capitalism. I'll defend both at all costs and I won't apologize for either.
